## Gemeinschaftliches Lernen

Frühkindliche Bildungsprozesse vollziehen sich im Dialog mit anderen. In sozialen Interaktionen konstruieren sich Kinder ein vielschichtiges und ganzheitliches Bild von der Welt. Mara und Raphael lernen im gemeinsamen Rollenspiel viel voneinander und miteinander. Raphael weiss schon einiges über Flugzeuge und das Fliegen. Er weiss z.B., dass manche Flugzeuge Jet genannt werden, dass die Person, die vorne sitzt, das Flugzeug steuert, und dass man sich beim Fliegen anschnallen muss. Dieses Wissen wendet Raphael im Spiel an, verfestigt es und gibt es mit Anweisungen im Spiel an Mara weiter. Auch finden sie gemeinsam heraus, dass Äste unterschiedliche Nutzungsmöglichkeiten haben. Man kann diese auch sehr gut zum Flugzeugbauen nutzen.

Beim gemeinsamen Spielen probieren die beiden Kinder ihre Rollen untereinander aus. Raphael äussert seine Idee, einen Jet zu bauen – er ist der „Geschichtenerzähler“, der mehrheitlich bestimmt, was passiert. Ausserdem nimmt er die Rolle des Piloten – eine Führungsrolle – ein, während Mara eher hinten sitzen möchte. Gleichzeitig wird an Raphaels Fragen deutlich, dass er sich auch für die Ideen von Mara interessiert. Immer wieder bezieht er sie in das Spielgeschehen ein. Die Perspektivenübernahme und das Eingehen aufeinander zeigt Raphael auch in einer anderen Situation. Während es für ihn wichtig ist, den Jet genau zu benennen, möchte Mara endlich losfliegen. Raphael geht auf ihren Wunsch ein und schon geht es los. Eigene Wünsche und Bedürfnisse zu äussern und im Gegenzug die Wünsche und Bedürfnisse der anderen zu respektieren, sind wichtige Komponenten von sozialer Kompetenz. Sie lassen sich nur in sozialen Interaktionen üben und erwerben. Raphael bringt sein Wissen ins Spiel mit ein und gleichzeitig kooperiert er mit Mara. Im Weiteren übt er, Verantwortung für andere zu übernehmen. So muss er als Pilot Sorge tragen, dass seine Passagierin angeschnallt ist, damit ihr beim Fliegen nichts passiert. So können im Rollenspiel viele soziale Fähigkeiten gefestigt und erweitert werden.

## Rollenspiel

Raphael weiss schon sehr viel über Flugzeuge und das Fliegen. Wahrscheinlich hat er, weil sich die Kita in der Nähe des Flughafens befindet, schon viele Flugzeuge beobachtet. Vielleicht ist er sogar selbst schon geflogen und möchte nun dieses Erlebnis mit Mara nachspielen und teilen. Im Rollenspiel verarbeiten und verinnerlichen Kinder Erlebtes, Gesehenes und Gehörtes aus ihrem Alltag. Sie entwickeln dabei ein Verständnis für die Welt der Erwachsenen. Sie vollziehen Abläufe nach und entdecken logische Zusammenhänge.

Im Spiel können die Kinder Rollen einnehmen, die sie im realen Leben meist (noch) nicht ausfüllen können. Egal ob Löwe, Indianer, Prinzessin, Mutter und Vater, Ärztin und Patient... alles ist möglich. Raphael ist heute ein Pilot und Mara die Passagierin. Durch das Hineinschlüpfen in verschiedene Rollen nehmen die Kinder verschiedene Sichtweisen ein. Die Übernahme anderer Perspektiven wird trainiert. Diese Fähigkeit brauchen wir, um uns in andere einfühlen und hineinversetzen zu können.

Indem die Kinder so tun, als ob sie jemand anderes wären, können sie sich mit den Fragen auseinandersetzen, wer sie sind und wer sie sein möchten. Welche Eigenschaften und Aufgaben hat ein Pilot? Könnte sich Raphael vorstellen, vielleicht später einmal ein richtiger Pilot zu sein? So entwickelt und festigt er seine eigene Identität.

Im gemeinsamen Spiel nutzen Mara und Raphael auch die Metakommunikation, das heisst, sie vereinbaren miteinander, was gespielt werden soll. Erst einmal muss geklärt werden, dass sie ein Flugzeug bauen wollen, was für eines es ist und wie es heisst. Als das Flugzeug dann fertig ist, klären die beiden, wer wo sitzt. Immer wieder wird dem jeweils anderen mitgeteilt, was gerade passiert: „Jetzt fliegen wir. Jetzt haben wir die Rädchen draussen. Jetzt haben wir die Rädchen drinnen!“ Dabei haben die Kinder genaue Vorstellungen über den Ablauf des Fliegens. Die gedanklichen Abläufe, welche im Rollenspiel angewendet werden, sind bedeutsam für die Entwicklung von Planungsfähigkeit. Im Gespräch miteinander stimmen sich Mara und Raphael ab und entwickeln gemeinsam die Geschichte weiter.

## Anregungsreiche Lernumgebung

Der Wald ist ein wunderbarer Lernort. Er bietet den Kindern unzählige Spiel- und Entdeckungsmöglichkeiten. Gerade, weil es keine vorgefertigten Spielzeuge bzw. Materialien gibt, welche vorbestimmte Verwendungszwecke haben, können alle Orte und Dinge im Wald für Kinder spannend werden. Eine Lichtung wird zur Rennstrecke, eine Ansammlung von Pilzen wird zum Forschungslabor, ein Haufen Äste und Zweige wird zur Baustelle, ein grosser Stein wird zur Küche, ein Baumstumpf wird zum Beobachtungsturm, eine Blumenwiese wird zur Schmuckwerkstatt, ein paar umgestürzte Bäume werden zum Hindernisparcours, ein Blätterdach wird zur Kuschelhöhle und ein paar Stöcke auf dem Boden werden zu einem Flugzeug. So hat jedes Kind die Möglichkeit, seinen Interessen und Ideen nachzugehen, kreativ zu sein sowie vielseitige Erfahrungen zu sammeln. Mara und Raphael nutzen die Zeit im Wald, um mit ihrem Jet eine Runde zu fliegen. Dafür brauchen sie nur sich selbst, ein paar Stöcke, etwas Platz und Phantasie. Wichtig für die Kinder ist darüber hinaus die Gewissheit, dass sie Zeit für ihr Spiel haben und dass vertraute Personen in der Nähe sind, die ihnen Sicherheit geben. Die Erwachsenen sind einerseits verfügbar, falls die Kinder Hilfe einfordern. Andererseits beobachten sie die Kinder und unterstützen sie bei Bedarf mit neuen Ideen bzw. Impulsen.

## Learning together

Learning processes in early childhood take place in dialogue with others. In their social interactions, children construct a multilayered and holistic view of the world. In their joint role play, Mara and Raphael are learning a lot, both from each other and together. Raphael already knows something about airplanes and flying. He knows, for instance, that some airplanes are called jets, that the person who sits up front steers the plane, and that passengers must fasten their seat belts. In playing Raphael applies his knowledge, establishes it more firmly and passes it on to Mara as he instructs her. Together they also discover that branches can be used in different ways, such as to build airplanes.

As they play together, the children practice their roles among themselves. Raphael expresses his idea of building a jet—he is the “storyteller” who determines what happens most of the time. He also plays the part of pilot—a leading role—whereas Mara prefers to sit in the back. At the same time, Raphael’s questions show clearly that he is also interested in Mara’s ideas. Again and again he includes her in the play. Raphael also shows that he can take another’s perspective and be responsive in another situation. Whereas it is important to Raphael to find the right name for the jet, Mara wants to take off now. Raphael responds to her wish, and off they go. Expressing your own wishes and needs and respecting the wishes and needs of others are important components of social competency. They can only be practiced and acquired in social interactions. Raphael brings his knowledge into their play, but he also cooperates with Mara. He also practices taking responsibility for others: as a pilot he must make sure that his passengers are wearing their seat belts, so that they stay safe when flying. In role play children strengthen and expand many social skills.

## Role play

Raphael already knows a lot about airplanes and flying. As the day care center is located near an airport, he has probably seen a lot of planes. He may have been on an airplane himself and would now like to re-enact and share the experience with Mara. In role play, children process and internalize things that they have experienced, seen and heard in their daily life. They develop an understanding of the world of adults. They act out procedures and processes and discover logical connections.

In play, children can take on roles that they mostly cannot (yet) have in real life: lion, Indian, princess, mother and father, doctor and patient ... anything is possible. Raphael is a pilot today, and Mara is a passenger. By taking different roles, children take on different ways of looking at things. This is training in taking other perspectives. We need this skill to be able to empathize with others and put ourselves in the position of others.

By pretending to be someone else, children can explore who they are and who they would like to be. What are the qualities and tasks of a pilot? Can Raphael imagine being a real pilot himself one day? In this way, Raphael develops and strengthens his own identity.

In their joint play, Mara and Raphael also use metacommunication—that is, they come to an agreement about what they will play. First they have to establish that they want to build an airplane, what kind of airplane it will be, and what it will be called. When the airplane is finished, they decide who is going to sit where. They always tell each other what is happening as they go along: “Now we’re flying. Now we have the wheels out. Now we have the wheels in.” Here the two children have precise notions about the sequence of events in flying. The mental processes that are applied in play are important for the development of planning skills. In their conversation Mara and Raphael come to agreements and develop the sequence of events in the story together.

## Stimulating learning environment

The wood is a wonderful place for learning. It offers children plentiful opportunities for play and discovery. Precisely because there are no prefabricated toys or materials that are meant to be used in a predetermined way, all the places and things in the wood can be exciting for children. A clearing becomes a racetrack, a group of mushrooms a research laboratory, a pile of branches and twigs a construction site, a large stone a kitchen, a tree trunk an observation tower, a meadow of wildflowers a jewelry workshop, a pair of fallen trees an obstacle course, a canopy of foliage a cozy den and a few sticks on the ground an airplane. Each child has an opportunity to follow his or her own interests and ideas, to be creative and to have a varied range of experiences. Mara and Raphael are using their time in the wood to fly their jet. To do so, they need only themselves, a few sticks, some space and imagination. It is also important for children to know that they have ample time to play and that familiar and trusted persons are close by whogive them security. The adults are always available, should the children ask for help. Other than that, they monitor the children and support them when needed by offering new ideas and impetus.

## Apprendre ensemble

Les processus d’apprentissage dans la petite enfance se réalisent dans le dialogue avec les autres. Les enfants se construisent dans les interactions sociales une image du monde qui est à la fois globale et multidimensionnelle. Dans un jeu de rôles, Mara et Raphael apprennent beaucoup l’un de l’autre, et l’un avec l’autre. Raphael a déjà des connaissances sur les avions et le vol. Il sait par exemple qu’il y a certains avions qu’on appelle des jets, que la personne qui est assise à l’avant est le pilote, et qu’il faut attacher sa ceinture dans l’avion. Il utilise ces connaissances dans le jeu, les consolide et les transmet à Mara, avec les consignes qu’il lui donne. Les deux enfants découvrent ensemble que les branches peuvent avoir différentes utilisations. On peut également très bien les utiliser pour fabriquer un avion.

Les deux enfants essaient ensemble leur rôle. Raphael propose de construire un Jet. C’est lui qui «raconte l’histoire», lui qui majoritairement décide de ce qui se passe. Il assume en outre le rôle du pilote – qui est un rôle de direction – alors que Mara préfère plutôt s’asseoir à l’arrière. Dans le même temps, les questions que pose Raphael montrent clairement qu’il s’intéresse aux idées exprimées par Mara. Il l’implique en permanence dans le déroulement du jeu. La capacité de prendre le point de vue de l’autre et d’aller vers lui se retrouve aussi dans une autre situation. Alors que pour Raphael, il est important de désigner précisément le jet, Mara voudrait enfin décoller. Raphael va au-devant de son souhait et c’est parti. Exprimer ses propres souhaits et besoins tout en respectant ceux des autres sont des éléments importants de la compétence sociale. On ne peut les acquérir et s’y exercer que dans des interactions sociales. Raphael intègre ses connaissances dans le jeu, tout en coopérant avec Mara. De plus, il apprend à assumer la responsabilité pour les autres. En tant que pilote, il doit veiller à ce que sa passagère ait attaché sa ceinture, pour qu’il n’y ait pas d’accident. Le jeu de rôle permet de consolider et de compléter de nombreuses aptitudes sociales.

## Jeu de rôles

Raphael a déjà beaucoup de connaissances sur les avions et le vol. Comme la garderie se trouve à proximité de l’aéroport, il est probable qu’il ait déjà observé de nombreux avions. Peut-être a-t-il même déjà pris l’avion, et souhaite reproduire cette expérience et la partager avec Mara. Dans le jeu de rôles, les enfants travaillent et intègrent ce qu’ils ont vécu, vu ou entendu au quotidien. Ils développent par là même une compréhension du monde des adultes. Ils comprennent des déroulements et découvrent des liens logiques.

Dans le jeu, les enfants peuvent adopter des rôles qu’ils ne peuvent souvent pas (encore) assumer dans la vie réelle. Lion, indien, princesse, maman, papa, docteur, patient... tout est possible. Aujourd’hui, Raphael est le pilote et Mara la passagère. En changeant de rôles, les enfants adoptent différents points de vue. Ils s’exercent ainsi à adopter des perspectives différentes. Nous avons besoin de cette aptitude pour nous mettre à la place des autres.

En faisant comme s’ils étaient quelqu’un d’autre, les enfants peuvent se demander qui ils sont et qui ils aimeraient être. Quelles sont les qualités et les tâches d’un pilote de ligne? Raphael peut-il imaginer devenir plus tard pilote? C’est ainsi qu’il développe et renforce sa propre identité.

Dans ce jeu, Mara et Raphael recourent également à la métacommunication : ils conviennent ensemble à quoi ils vont jouer. Il faut d’abord établir que leur objectif est de construire un avion, de quel type d’avion il s’agit et quel nom il doit porter. Une fois l’avion terminé, ils se mettent d’accord pour savoir qui s’assoit à quel endroit. En permanence, chacun indique à l’autre ce qui est en train de se passer: «Maintenant, on vole. On a sorti les roues. Maintenant, on a rentré les roues.» Les enfants ont des représentations précises sur le déroulement du vol. Les processus mentaux sollicités dans le jeu de rôles sont importants pour développer chez l’enfant l’aptitude à planifier. Mara et Raphael se mettent d’accord en discutant et développent l’histoire ensemble.

## Un environnement d’apprentissage plein de stimulations

La forêt est un lieu merveilleux pour apprendre. Elle offre aux enfants d’innombrables possibilités de jeux et de découvertes. Comme il n’y a pas de jouets tous faits ou d’objets fabriqués qui ont des utilisations prédéfinies, tous les endroits et toutes les choses dans la forêt sont passionnants pour les enfants. Une clairière devient un champ de course, la collecte de champignons se transforme en laboratoire, un tas de rameaux et de branches devient un chantier de construction, une grande pierre se mue en cuisine, un tronc d’arbre en tour d’observation, un pré fleuri en atelier de fabrication de bijoux, des arbres déracinés deviennent un parcours d’obstacles, un toit de feuilles se transforme en cavité pour se blottir et quelques bâtons par terre deviennent un avion. Chaque enfant a ainsi la possibilité de vaquer à ses centres d’intérêt et idées, d’être créatif et de rassembler de nombreuses expériences. Mara et Raphael utilisent le temps qu’ils passent en forêt pour faire un tour dans leur jet. Pour cela, ils n’ont besoin que d’eux-mêmes, de quelques bâtons, d’un peu de place et d’imagination. Pour les enfants, il est en outre important qu’ils sachent qu’ils ont du temps pour jouer et qu’il y a des personnes qu’ils connaissent et en qui ils ont confiance à proximité. Les adultes sont ainsi disponibles, si les enfants ont besoin d’eux. Ils observent par ailleurs les enfants et les soutiennent si nécessaire en leur donnant de nouvelles idées ou des impulsions.

## Apprendimento collaborativo

Nella prima infanzia i processi di formazione si declinano attraverso il dialogo con gli altri. Attraverso l’interazione sociale i bambini costruiscono un’immagine poliedrica e globale del mondo. Mara e Raphael imparano molto l’uno dall’altro nel gioco di ruolo svolto in comune. Per quanto concerne gli aeroplani e il volo, Raphael conosce già alcune cose. Ad esempio sa che alcuni aerei si chiamano jet, sa che le persone sedute davanti sono quelle che pilotano e che, quando si vola, ci si deve allacciare. Queste conoscenze le traspone, consolidandole, nel gioco attraverso la formulazione di istruzioni a Mara. Insieme scoprono che i rami di un albero possono essere usati in vari modi. Possono essere utilizzati anche molto bene nella costruzione di aerei.

Mentre giocano insieme i due bambini provano a scambiarsi i ruoli. Raphael manifesta l’intenzione di voler costruire un jet – Raphael è il “narratore della storia” che definisce l’andamento degli eventi. Oltre a ciò, assume il ruolo del pilota – un ruolo di comando -, mentre Mara manifesta il desiderio di potersi sedere dietro. Dal tipo di domanda che Raphael pone, si capisce che si interessa anche alle idee di Mara. A intervalli regolari la coinvolge nell’andamento del gioco. In altre circostanze è possibile osservare l’adozione di un’altra prospettiva e il riferimento all’altro. Mentre per Raphael è importante designare le varie parti del jet, Mara desidererebbe decollare al più presto. Raphael cerca di prendere in considerazione il suo desiderio e tutto parte. Manifestare le proprie esigenze e i propri desideri e, al tempo stesso, rispettare il desiderio e le esigenze degli altri sono importanti componenti della competenza sociale. Tali competenze si conquistano e si acquisiscono attraverso le interazioni sociali. Raphael inserisce nel gioco il suo sapere e, nello stesso momento, collabora con Mara. Da un punto di vista più generale, impara ad assumere la responsabilità di altri. E’ cosi che, per garantire la sicurezza dei passeggeri durante il volo, nel ruolo di pilota, deve verificare se sono allacciati. Procedendo in quel modo nel gioco di ruolo, molte competenze sociali vengono rafforzate ed ampliate.

## Gioco di ruolo

Per quanto concerne gli aerei e il volo Raphael conosce già molte cose. Visto che l’asilo nido si trova nei paraggi dell’aeroporto è possibile che li abbia osservati. E’ possibile che abbia avuto l’occasione di volare lui stesso ed è anche possibile che desideri rivivere e condividere in modo ludico l’esperienza con Mara. Attraverso il gioco di ruolo i bambini rielaborano e interiorizzano il vissuto. Così facendo sviluppano la capacità di capire il mondo degli adulti. Ricostruiscono gli svolgimenti e scoprono la logica dei collegamenti.

Durante il gioco i bambini hanno la possibilità di entrare in ruoli che nella vita reale non possono svolgere. Poco importa se si tratta di leoni, di indiani, di principesse, di madre e padre, di dottoressa e di paziente… tutto è possibile. Oggi Raphael è un pilota e Mara una passeggera. Attraverso l’identificazione in diversi ruoli i bambini adottano diversi punti di vista. Così facendo viene esercitata l’assunzione di un’altra prospettiva. Noi abbiamo bisogno di tale capacità per poterci immedesimare e per poter prendere parte al modo di sentire degli altri.

Agendo come se fossero un’altra persona i bambini possono confrontarsi con la domanda del chi sono e di chi vorrebbero essere. Quali sono le caratteristiche e quali sono i compiti di un pilota? E’ possibile che Raphael possa immaginare di essere, magari più tardi nel tempo, un pilota vero? Così facendo sviluppa e consolida la sua identità.

Giocando insieme Mara e Raphael ricorrono alla metacomunicazione, vale a dire che si mettono d’accordo a cosa è meglio giocare. In primo luogo deve essere chiarito che intendono costruire un aeroplano, di quale tipo si tratta e come deve chiamarsi. Una volta costruito i due chiariscono chi siede dove. Ripetutamente viene comunicato all’altro cosa sta capitando: ”Ora voliamo. Adesso è fuori il carrello per l’atterraggio. Adesso il carrello è dentro!”. Agendo in questo modo i bambini confermano di disporre di una precisa rappresentazione mentale di come avviene il volo. Le sequenze, mentalmente pensate attraverso il gioco di ruolo, sono importanti per lo sviluppo della capacità di pianificare. Attraverso la conversazione Mara e Raphael si mettono d’accordo e sviluppano insieme il seguito della storia.

## Ambiente d’apprendimento stimolante

Il bosco è un fantastico ambiente di apprendimento. Esso offre ai bambini infinite opportunità di gioco e di scoperta. Proprio per il fatto che non ci sono materiali o giochi preconfezionati, che definiscono in anticipo lo scopo, ogni cosa e ogni luogo del bosco possono suscitare interesse nei bambini. Uno squarcio di luce diventa una pista di corsa, un insieme di funghi si trasforma in un laboratorio di ricerca, un mucchio di rami e di ramoscelli diventa un cantiere, un grosso sasso diventa una cucina, una parte di tronco svolge la funzione di torre di osservazione, un prato di fiori si traduce in un laboratorio di gioielli, un paio di tronchi caduti svolgono, in un percorso, la funzione di ostacoli, un tetto di foglie si trasforma in una grotta nella quale occorre stringersi uno accanto all’altro e un paio di bastoni sul suolo diventano un aeroplano. Ogni bambino ha così la possibilità di dare un seguito ai propri interessi, essere creativo e raccogliere numerose esperienze. Mara e Raphael sfruttano il tempo di permanenza nel bosco per fare un giro con il loro jet. Per fare una cosa simile hanno bisogno solo di loro stessi, di due bastoni, di un po’ di spazio e di fantasia. Al di fuori di tale ambito i bambini hanno bisogno di sapere che nelle vicinanze si trovano persone di fiducia, che hanno tempo per il loro gioco e che sono in grado di dar loro sicurezza. In caso di bisogno gli adulti sono a disposizione. D’altra parte gli stessi adulti, osservano i bambini, in caso di bisogno sono disposti a sostenerli con nuove idee e, rispettivamente, con nuovi impulsi.
